Dalmatians on Lake Como is a painting of two spotted dogs sitting in a wooden Riva boat, faces lifted toward a sky streaked pink and blue over the mountains — playful, painterly, striking. On matte paper, the tones stay true: dusty pink sky, cobalt lake, the dogs’ black-and-white coats rendered with clarity and depth.
Matte paper removes the glare that gloss introduces. Under gallery lighting, natural light, or a desk lamp — the image stays readable. No reflections competing with the painting.
