Sardines — Cobalt Edit is an illustration of sardines arranged in a symmetrical grid, rendered in cobalt blue linocut on a cream ground — graphic, precise, quietly bold. On matte paper, the tones stay true: deep cobalt ink, warm cream, the crisp edges of each fish rendered with clarity.
Matte paper removes the glare that gloss introduces. Under gallery lighting, natural light, or a desk lamp — the image stays readable. No reflections competing with the illustration.
